M. A. Chidambaram Arena, formally known as the Chepauk Arena, is a cricket arena in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Laid out in 1916, it is the second most seasoned cricket arena in the country after Eden Nurseries in Kolkata It is claimed and worked by Tamil Nadu Cricket Affiliation (TNCA). The arena is situated at Chepauk, a couple hundred meters from Marina's ocean side along the Straight of Bengal.
Previously known as Madras Cricket Club Ground, the arena is named after M. A. Chidambaram, the previous leader of BCCI and Head of TNCA. It is the home ground of the Tamil Nadu cricket crew and the Indian Chief Association group Chennai Super Rulers. Chepauk facilitated its most memorable Test match on 10 February 1934, facilitated the principal match of the main Ranji Prize in 1934 and the Indian cricket crew's most memorable test triumph in 1952 against Britain. The 1986 India-Australia match held at Chepauk was just the second-ever Tied Test throughout the entire existence of the game.
